Lloyd Flanders: timeless wicker

In 1906, Marshall B. Lloyd opened the Lloyd Manufacturing Company in Menominee, Michigan, where he developed a timeless and unique process for creating fine woven furniture. They proudly continue crafting this heirloom furniture today, in the same facility where it all began.

Homecrest: American Modern

Homecrest began as an offspring of a retail furniture shop in Wadena, Minn. in 1953, when founders Mert Bottemiller and Al Engelmann set out to build a better hassock (now more commonly known as an ottoman) than their vendors could supply. They soon expanded their business into manufacturing with a growing line of indoor and outdoor patio furniture.
Bottemiller's swivel rocker mechanism, patented in 1956, was at the foundation of the Homecrest outdoor patio furniture line, which took off in the 1960s as Americans increasingly enjoyed backyard dining, entertaining and recreation. The popularity of Homecrest products soared and distribution extended nationwide, and the rest is history! Windward Design Group: Our Friends in Florida

In 1991, President and owner David-Peace re-strapped vinyl furniture for hotels and condominiums on the west coast of Florida out of his backyard. He soon expanded into a 12' x 24' storage unit and filled increasing volume of orders with a hand bender, chop saw, drill press and welder. He was the company's only employee. Fast forward to 2002; Windward design group was manufacturing 18 different collections of furniture, and in 2006 they launched a replacement division. In 2012 they added wicker and the Marine-Grade Polymer we are so fond of today. David Peace is still the President and three of his five children work by his side. They take pride in manufacturing high quality products and employing hundreds of craftsmen in their large Sarasota, FL production facility. windwarddesigngroup.com
